| | | | | | | | | STATEMENT OF ISSUE | | Several state law enforcement agencies require a resolution to allow their jurisdiction to enter into an agreement for use of the Art Koch Range and Training Facility (AKRTF). |

| | | | | | | | | DISCUSSION | It has been a goal of the City of Fairfield to generate revenue through the rental of the Fairfield Police Department Range and Firearms Training Facility by outside police agencies to offset the operational and maintenance costs of the facility. Numerous law enforcement agencies require a resolution before entering into an agreement for use of the AKRTF. Adopting the resolution would authorize the city manager, or designee, to execute agreements on behalf of the city and fulfill the requirement of providing a resolution upon request to other agencies.
