| | | | | | | | | STATEMENT OF ISSUE | | The subject Solano County Civil Grand Jury Report was issued on June 25, 2021, and requires a response by the City of Fairfield no later than Thursday, September 23, 2021. A written response, to be signed by the city manager, is attached. |

| | | | | | | | | DISCUSSION | The Solano County Civil Grand Jury investigated the issue of illegal dumping within Solano County and issued a report for 2020-2021 entitled, “Illegal Dumping: Is There A Solution?” As part of this report, the Grand Jury examined the processes by which the public works departments of each city within Solano County addressed the issue of illegal dumping. The Grand Jury has compiled and presented its findings and recommendations and sent a copy of the report to the City of Fairfield. Per Penal Code Section 933, the City is obligated to respond to the findings and recommendations. A copy of the City’s responses are attached.
