| | | | | | | | | STATEMENT OF ISSUE | | The adoption of this resolution accepts the Green Valley Road Bay Area Ridge Trail Crossing Project as complete. |

| | | | | | | | | DISCUSSION | On August 4, 2020, the City adopted Resolution 2020-154 approving a contract with FBD Vanguard Construction, Inc. for the Green Valley Road Bay Area Ridge Trail Crossing Project (“Project”). The Project included an improved crosswalk for trail users to cross at a single point at Green Valley Road, new ADA accessible curb ramps, trail signage designating the pathway as being part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail, and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) similar to those installed in other areas of the City. The Project was completed on March 22, 2021.
The construction authorization for the Project was approved for $265,180. This amount included a total bid of $241,072 and a 10% contingency of $24,108. The final cost for the Project was $241,072, which is approximately 10% below the amount authorized for construction.

| | | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT | | Acceptance of the Project obligates the City to provide ongoing maintenance of the improvements which will be paid from General Fund Street Maintenance (Fund 011 Division 65). Approval of the resolution allows the City to request $201,000 in reimbursement through the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 pedestrian/bicycle grant. |
