| | | | | | | | | STATEMENT OF ISSUE | | The adoption of this resolution accepts the Fairfield Sports Center Fire Rebuild Project as complete. |

| | | | | | | | | DISCUSSION | On July 7, 2020, the City adopted Resolution 2020-127 approving a contract with REM Construction, Inc. for the Fairfield Sports Center Fire Rebuild Project (“Project”), which is located at Allan Witt Park. The Project consisted of reconstructing the fire-damaged areas in the locker rooms, saunas, and restrooms. The project also included the creation of additional storage space, constructing two new ADA accessible all-gender restrooms, and upgrading components throughout the facility to meet current ADA standards. The Project was completed on March 5, 2021.
The construction authorization for the Project was approved for $909,742. This amount included a base bid of $651,403, an additive alternative of $106,715, and a 20% contingency of $151,624. The final cost for the Project was $770,827, which is approximately 15% below the amount authorized for construction.
