| | | | | | | | STATEMENT OF ISSUE | Staff requests direction from Council regarding the annual City Council retreat and workshop. The annual retreat is an important part of City planning and is an opportunity for staff to work with Council to identify goals and objectives for the coming year. Attached is a draft agenda for your consideration and direction. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION | The annual City Council retreat and workshop is typically held in January and/or February and is an important part of City operations. At this meeting, Council has an opportunity to learn and collaborate with city staff and identify goals and objectives for the coming year.
This meeting is typically held in-person, but with COVID-19 restrictions this is not an option. We would like to have Council direction on how to proceed with scheduling this meeting and have prepared a draft agenda for your review and consideration.

| | | | | | | | ALTERNATIVE ACTION | City Council may choose not to have an annual retreat/workshop for 2021. This would greatly impact City Council and staff because this meeting is vital to providing direction for the upcoming year for both parties. Alternatively, Council may choose to delay the retreat/workshop until later in 2021 when an in-person meeting is viable. |
