| | | | | | | | | STATEMENT OF ISSUE | | The adoption of this resolution accepts the Fairfield Center for Creative Arts Roof Replacement Project as complete. |

| | | | | | | | | DISCUSSION | On December 17, 2019, the City adopted Resolution 2019-297 approving a contract with Arntz Builders, Inc. for the Fairfield Center for Creative Arts Roof Replacement Project (“Project”). The Project includes roof replacement and the installation of new bird netting, as well as filling in the glass block lobby skylights and increasing the height of an existing parapet wall. Construction was completed on September 2, 2020.
The construction authorization for the Project was approved for $1,876,546.80. This amount included $1,563,789 for the base bid and additive alternatives, and a 20% contingency of $312,757.80. The final cost for the Project was $1,563,155.85 which is approximately 17% below the amount authorized for construction.
