SUBJECT:Resolution 2020-133 of the City Council of the City of Fairfield Reinstating the August 4, 2020, Meeting and Cancelling the October 6, 2020, Meeting
RECOMMENDED ACTION 
Adopt resolution.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE 

It has been past practice for the City Council to review the calendar of Council meeting dates for the upcoming year to determine if any of the first and third Tuesday meetings conflict with holidays, Election Day, or vacation break, so they may be cancelled well in advance of the meeting date.   

DISCUSSION
On November 15, 2019, City Council passed Resolution 2019-267 cancelling the August 4, 2020, meeting due to the scheduling of National Night Out. Due to COVID-19, National Night Out for 2020 has been rescheduled to October 6, 2020. Therefore, the City Council meeting of August 4 will be reinstated and instead, the October 6, 2020, meeting will be cancelled.  Additional meetings of the City Council could be called as the need arises, and standard noticing procedures would be followed at that time.
